Accepting New Patients at Care Veterinary Clinics in Visalia

Welcome to Care Veterinary Clinic and Care at the Courtyard Veterinary Clinic! Our mission is to provide the highest quality veterinary care by informing our clients about the latest in health care and preventive medicine. We help our clients make educated decisions about choosing the best care for pets, to help them live a longer and healthier life.

Patient Arrival Policy

We make every effort to provide a comfortable environment for our patients during visits. However, some animals are a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings, and new encounters with other pets. For safety, please properly restrain your pet both inside and outside of our hospital.

  • All dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the parking area, the waiting area, and the exam room.
  • All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier.

If you need help carrying an animal into the clinic, ask the front office staff for assistance on arrival.

Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for exams and procedures, we see our patients by appointment. Walk-ins will be seen when necessary and as time allows. Emergency cases always receive top priority, followed by patients with previously scheduled appointments. For this reason, the occasional delay is inevitable.

We make a sincere attempt to see each patient on time. If there is a wait when you visit our hospital, we thank you for your patience and understanding.

If you need to cancel your appointment, please call our office as soon as possible to allow us to make the appointment available for another patient.

Contagious Disease

To prevent the spread of contagious diseases, such as kennel cough or parvovirus, please adhere to the following instructions:

  • Leave any pet in your car during check-in if the animal is coughing.
  • Please only leave your pet in the car for just a few minutes while you come inside to check-in.
  • Please return immediately to your car and turn your A/C on. You may also want to bring a friend or family member along and keep your AC running while they come inside and check in your pet on your behalf.
  • Leave a puppy under one year old in your vehicle during check-in if symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting, or lethargy

After check-in, we place you and your pet in an examination room away from other animals while you wait for the doctor.

Please be aware of the valley heat when leaving an animal in the car. During hot days, these animals should have the window cracked or AC on and should not be left unattended for long periods of time.
