It is required by state law that all dogs (and all cats if you live in the city of Visalia)
be licensed. In order for your pet to be licensed, your pet must receive a Rabies
vaccination administered by a licensed veterinarian before receiving a rabies
vaccination certificate. Once you provide the licensing office with your pet’s
rabies certificate and appropriate registration fees, your pet will receive a license
tag to be worn the pet’s collar as required by law.
